Techlott signed a definitive platform and services agreement to operate the lottery technology, carrying an initial five-year term
If neither party seeks to terminate the collaboration after five years, the deal will automatically renew in 24-month intervals

Techlott has signed a definitive platform and services agreement to supply the “technology backbone” of Republic of The Gambia’s nationwide lottery operation, carrying an initial term of five years and the ability to automatically renew in 24-month intervals.

“Signing a definitive agreement with the exclusive license holder is the step that matters. A letter of intent describes intent,” Techlott CEO Yakir Abadi said.

“This contract obligates both sides: the license holder to operate and pay, and Techlott to deliver, host and support the platform for an initial five-year term. The Gambia is deliberately sized as our first national deployment — a market where we can launch cleanly and prove every layer of the system in live, regulated operation.”

Prior to launch, Techlott will be responsible for implementing a lottery platform which complies with Gambia’s regulatory requirements, information-security training, customisation preferences, staff training and acceptance testing.

Once the nationwide lottery operation officially goes live, Techlott will assist in server management, security maintenance, monitoring, maintenance releases and code-level support throughout the contract’s term.

Techlott President Mark Katzenelson also spoke on the new collaboration, having said, “In January we set out a framework; today it is a signed contract. What an operator buys from us is not a promise of technology — it is responsibility.

“Implementation, acceptance testing and staff training before launch; hosting, monitoring and code-level support after. Our partner holds the license and knows its market. Our job is to make the platform something they never have to think about. That is the standard we are setting in The Gambia, and it is the standard we will carry into the next market.”

According to the contract’s terms, Techlott will be compensated through a tiered percentage of gross platform revenue, defined as the “total amount of bets and purchases made by end users” combined with minimum monthly payments of $7,000.

In January, Techlott signed a non-binding Letter of Intent with sportsbook technology provider First to initiate a joint pilot programme focused on platform integration.

Under the agreement, Techlott’s technology was tested within First’s online sportsbook environment to evaluate technical compatibility, system performance and operational fit.
