Palms Casino Resort has unveiled plans to introduce a new non-smoking gaming space on August 24, followed by a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony set to be held with International Gaming Technology (IGT) on September 1.
The 7,300 sq ft space will include 224 slot machines and be located near the property’s William Hill sportsbook, as well as provide its own full-service bar for non-smoking casino players.
“Guest feedback drives so much of what we do, and expanding our non-smoking gaming options is something we’ve heard consistently,” Palms Casino Resort GM Kevin Glass said.
"This new space combines over 200 of the latest games, a dedicated bar and a new gaming experience to create an entirely new way to play at Palms. And since Palms was recently recognized as one of the luckiest casinos in the country, we thought we’d make a little more room for the winning to continue.”
On September 1, Palms Casino Resort and IGT will debut the first-ever Spin It Forward IGT Celebrity Charity Slot Challenge, where invited local personalities will play on behalf of 10 Southern Nevada organizations.
Local charities will receive a $2,500 donation from the San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Authority and $1,000 in slot play from IGT. The organizations may either keep the $1,000 contribution from IGT, or allow a celebrity participant to play on their behalf for the chance to win more money.
Participating charities include the Heaven Can Wait Animal Society, UNLV Chapter of Advancing Indigenous Science & Engineering Society, Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada, Springs Preserve Foundation, Teach For America Nevada and more.
Palms Casino Resort will also offer select promotions for Club Serrano members from September 1-3, 10 and 17, providing opportunities to win free slot play and additional prizes.
