The Casino Association of New Jersey (CANJ) will once again support the Community FoodBank of New Jersey's (CFBNJ) annual Turkey Drive with a donation of 1,200 turkeys to help provide Thanksgiving meals for families affected by food insecurity.

Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Caesars Atlantic City, Golden Nugget, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, Ocean Casino Resort and Resorts Atlantic City all took part in the contribution, as turkeys will be delivered throughout the week of November 24.

"Food insecurity affects far too many families in our state," CANJ President Mark Giannantonio said.

"Our casinos are proud to support the Community FoodBank of New Jersey's Turkey Drive to ensure that families can enjoy Thanksgiving meals together."

The donation is part of a Casinos United Against Hunger initiative started in early 2025 and formed in partnership with CFBNJ, which also included volunteering at the Food Bank's mobile pantry in Ventnor City.

"Food is so important - not just for nutrition - but for bringing families together," CFBNJ President and CEO Elizabeth McCarthy said.

"The Turkey Drive is an important way to address food insecurity during the holiday season, and we are grateful to community partners like the Casino Association of New Jersey for their generosity in this time of need."

According to the CFBNJ, nearly 1.1 million people across the state suffer from food insecurity, including more than 270,000 children.

Atlantic County also has one of the highest food insecurity rates in New Jersey at 13.3% overall, as well as 18.2% among children.
