Playson has announced the appointment of Ben Wood as Chief Commercial Officer.

Wood comes to the role with over 15 years of iGaming industry experience, 11 of which were with Microgaming. He joined the company in 2010 as a Sales Manager, and over the years developed his position to Head of Partnerships.

In late 2021 he joined Bally's Interactive as Director of Game Content Operations - Asia/ Row, and later was promoted to VP, Commercial Content, and Managing Director ION after that. In August 2023 he was promoted to VP iGaming Content Delivery, staying in the role until March 2024.

At the start of 2024 Wood also became Director of KAT Consult, which he continues to this day.

These roles have provided experience in commercial strategy, content delivery and partnership management, which will prove critical in the CCO position.

His appointment comes following the exit of Tamas Kusztos.

On his appointment, Wood said: "Playson has built a fantastic reputation for quality, creativity and reliability in iGaming. Their must-have content has stamped their own indelible mark in established and new markets alike. I'm thrilled to join the team at such an exciting time and look forward to contributing to the company's continued growth across Europe and globally."

Also commenting was Vsevolod Lapin, Deputy CEO of Playson, who said: "Ben's experience and vision make him an excellent addition to our leadership team.
