FanDuel and Kindbridge Behavioral Health are expanding their responsible gambling partnership, with a focus on prevention, self-assessment and access to professional support for customers.
The partnership, which began in March 2024, has grown to include mental health assessments, educational resources, peer support and counselling, as FanDuel continues to expand its responsible gaming initiatives.
FanDuel Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Sustainability Cory Fox stated: "FanDuel is continually investing in education, research and partnerships, because we believe in meeting our customers where they are and providing resources that work for them.
"We understand mental health and gambling can be closely connected, particularly among young men, so expanding access to behavioral health resources was a priority. Kindbridge stood out for its focus on gambling disorder and its commitment to making treatment more accessible."
Kindbridge Founder and CEO Daniel Umfleet added: "We both want to help people maintain a healthy balance. That includes understanding finances, recognizing spending patterns, and making sure people aren't gambling with money they don't have."
The partnership also extends to employee education, financial wellness programs, and broader community initiatives.
Fanduel recently came under heightened scrutiny when its employee sent a video featuring Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper to a player struggling with gambling addiction.
Following the scandal, federal Democratic lawmakers urged FanDuel to end its VIP program, calling it predatory. They also pressed MLB to ban players from participating in promotional activities for gambling companies.
