FanDuel was founded in 2009 at the SXSW Interactive festival in Austin, Texas, by five co-founders who developed the concept of daily fantasy sports.
The company’s platform allows participants to compete head-to-head in fantasy sports contests, with results determined over short periods rather than a full season.
FanDuel operates under its primary brand name and offers a range of fantasy sports contests, as well as online sports betting in regulated U.S. markets.
Since its founding, the company has grown into a well-known operator in the U.S. fantasy sports and sports betting industry. It consistently focuses on expanding both its user base and its product offerings.
