Boyd Gaming also unveiled sportsbook enhancements at Sam’s Town in July, part of additional investment across southern Nevada properties

Boyd Gaming has officially introduced new race and sportsbook enhancements at its Aliante Casino & Hotel property in North Las Vegas, featuring a new video wall, upgraded seating and VIP amenities.

The improvements are part of Boyd Gaming’s strategy to invest in its portfolio of southern Nevada properties, previously touched on by President and CEO Keith Smith following the operator’s Q2 2026 financial report

The new 30-foot-wide video wall can display up to 30 games simultaneously for bettors, who can place wagers in-person at betting kiosks or online through Boyd Gaming platforms.

Boyd Gaming originally purchased Aliante Casino & Hotel from Station Casinos in 2016 for approximately $380m, as the property was first launched for North Las Vegas residents during 2008.

The operator also unveiled new sportsbook enhancements at its Sam’s Town establishment in July, alongside a portfolio which also includes Cadence Crossing, Gold Coast, The Orleans and Suncoast Casino.

In Indiana, however, a group of 22 slot attendants and dual rates at Blue Chip Casino Hotel & Spa voted in favor of joining Teamsters Local 135 on August 3, representing the union’s “first organizing win” at a Boyd Gaming property.

"With a little bit of courage and a lot of heart, we were able to make our voices heard," Blue Chip Casino Slot Attendant and Teamsters 135 member Candace Todd said.

"The company hired a union buster, held meetings and tried to intimidate us, but they didn't stand a chance. Nothing could ever break our solidarity."

Those who elected to join Teamsters Local 135 are advocating for higher pay, improved benefits and improved working conditions, having marched for union representation on June 23.

Teamsters was originally founded in 1903 and currently represents nearly 6,000 workers of casino and hotel establishments across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.
