Scientific Games has launched its Game Show Experience omnichannel linked title in four US states, with nine additional jurisdictions planning to introduce the themed scratch-off, fast play and digital games by December 1.
Iowa, South Carolina, Tennessee and the Maryland Lottery were the first to launch Game Show Experience, which offers lottery games related to The Price is Right, Family Feud and Press Your Luck.
Delaware, South Dakota, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington DC, Kansas, Illinois and Maine will join the group later this year, although Scientific Games stated there are “opportunities for additional lotteries to participate.”
"The Game Show Experience offers our players something unique in our portfolio: a trusted brand in The Price is Right that our players love, paired with a one-of-a-kind experiential prize with the chance to win up to $10m," Iowa Lottery Director of Marketing & Advertising Kassandra Trenary said.
"We're excited to be one of the first states to offer this promotion, bringing our players an experience that goes beyond the traditional lottery offering."
The supplier originally launched its Linked Game concept for lottery organizations in 2007, featuring brands such as Deal or No Deal, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory and Game of Thrones.
Scientific Games VP of Licensing Tina Hoover also spoke on the launch, having said, "It's no surprise the Game Show Experience games are performing well. The incredibly broad and sustained appeal of these classic TV game show brands brings to life the surprise, joy and wins that players love.
"We continue to expand our licensed brands portfolio with brands that engage players and drive incremental sales."
Additionally, Scientific Games also confirmed intentions to launch its Jurassic World-themed signature linked game in Hawaii this fall, where the original 1993 movie was filmed.
On August 13, Scientific Games extended its North American presence after forming a new deal with the Western Canada Lottery Corporation, as the supplier is set to distribute new technology to retailers across the nation.
The Iowa Lottery formed a new agreement with Scientific Games on July 28, representing a ‘strategic evolution’ to the entities’ long-standing partnership which originally began in 1985
