The Dutch Gambling Regulatory Authority (KSA) has renewed the licences of two major online operators: Entain-owned BetCity and GGPoker. Both operators can now continue offering their services in the Netherlands for another five years.

BetCity welcomed the renewal in a LinkedIn post, highlighting its ongoing focus on player protection and responsible gambling: “This renewal is an important milestone for BetCity and reflects our continued commitment to offering a safe, responsible and regulated environment for players in the Netherlands.

“Since the regulated market opened, we have worked constructively with the Kansspelautoriteit, policymakers and industry partners to help raise standards and strengthen player protection across the sector.”

GGPoker also celebrated the renewal, with Compliance Manager Brendan Sleutel highlighting the operator’s five-year track record in the Dutch market.

Sleutel stated: “We have been active in the Netherlands for five years now, and we can now add another five years to that. Naturally, we are proud of that.

"We especially look forward to continuing to offer a safe and, above all, trusted haven to Dutch poker enthusiasts for the next five years. I would like to thank you all for the trust, loyalty and enthusiasm with which you have been part of our community over the past five years. And if we look at the standings: five years active, zero fines. We are now going for 10 years!”

Bet365 is also rumoured to have received a new licence. Meanwhile, several other operators secured their rights to continue operating online in the Netherlands in August. These include TOTO Online, Holland Casino, Fair Play, Kansino and Bingoal.
