Las Vegas airport has recorded a 9% year-on-year decline in both arrivals and departures, with total traffic at 4.1 million in August.
Domestic flights, which make up the bulk of the traffic, decreased by 7.1% to 31 million.
On the other hand, international travel has jumped by 3.9%. The airport reported 293,672 international arriving and departing passengers, compared to the 282,793 recorded the year before.
However, the numbers recorded from year-to-date international passenger traffic tell a different story. Since January, the airport has handled 2.2 million international passengers, marking a 7.1% drop.
As flights to Harry Reid International Airport slowly decline, Macau International Airport, situated in another gambling mecca, has been seeing a steady increase.
Between January and August 2026, the airport handled 5.1 million passengers. This represents a 5.6% increase from 2025.
