The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has become the first-ever lottery jurisdiction to launch the new Cash Pop draw-based game, which offers heightened customisation features for local players.

Additionally, OLG will introduce a new digital selection slip option as part of the launch, allowing lottery players to build their respective Cash Pop ticket in the OLG mobile application and then scan it at a participating retailer.

Cash Pop offers flexibility in how players build their ticket by choosing either one or multiple numbers and selecting their wager amount. From there, each selected number is assigned a randomly generated prize amount, with players only needing to match one to win.

"Cash Pop is a great addition to OLG's lottery lineup and reflects our ongoing efforts to bring new and engaging experiences to customers," OLG VP of Lottery Product Andrew Darley said.

"As the first lottery jurisdiction in Canada to offer the game, we're excited to provide players with more ways to play while continuing to give back to communities across the province."

Lottery players in Ontario are currently able to purchase the title at retail locations or on OLG digital platforms, with wager amounts ranging from $2, $5, $10 or $20 per “Pop.”

Five daily draws are currently scheduled for the Cash Pop game in Ontario, as players are eligible to win up to $5,000 from the contest.

In August, Ontario Attorney General and Interim Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming Doug Downey unveiled that OLG signed an agreement with MGE Niagara Entertainment to allow for additional casino operators in the region.

MGE will relinquish its previous exclusivity to operate commercial casino properties in the Niagara region as a result of the agreement, currently overseeing Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara.

Later in 2026, OLG is set to launch a procurement process to identify potential casino operators to join the region, enhancing efforts to expand tourism across Niagara.

OLG chose Intralot Canada – a subsidiary of Bally’s Intralot Group – as the organisation’s new lottery technology solution provider on 25 June, with enhancements projected to be in place by 2029
