SiGMA South Asia 2025 has concluded after three busy days in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The debut edition of this summit drew 2,500 delegates from across the gaming, technology and affiliate ecosystems.
This inaugural cohort of attendees was hosted at Cinnamon Life in the City of Dreams, a venue that opened to global visitors in August 2025.
Proceedings kicked off on 30 November as delegates arrived from far and wide to make their presence known at the new integrated resort.
The next day was the beginning of the conference proper, and it coincided with the launch of Sri Lanka's new Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA), which will seek to provide strong leadership and oversight for all gambling activities in the country.
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Reuben Gauci, High Commissioner of the Republic of Malta to Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh, stressed the need for strong regulatory frameworks to be forged in order to drive industry growth in South Asia.
Numerous panels and keynote speeches followed, with discussions covering topics from affiliate strategies and AI to cybercrime and digital safety.
On the second day, there was more of the same, plus a celebration programmed as Malta Day, honouring Malta's upcoming Republic Day, which itself commemorates the day the Maltese Parliament became officially independent of British crown rule.
Evening networking events and get-togethers rounded off each day, and with a strong showing in this, its first year, SiGMA will hope for an even bigger gathering when it makes its way to Bangkok in 2026.
The City of Dreams integrated resort cost a grand total of $1.2bn to develop and was led by Melco Resorts and John Keells Holdings
