The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) regulates gambling for operators licensed and/or based on the archipelago. One of the more business/industry-friendly regulators in gambling, the MGA understands that gaming accounts for a significant percentage of Malta's GDP.
Nevertheless, the MGA still has to balance enforcement and compliance with boosting business.
Indeed, the MGA's mission statement is "to regulate competently the various sectors of the gaming industry that fall under the Authority by ensuring gaming is fair and transparent, preventing crime, and protecting mintor and vulnerable players."
