The NSW Government has confirmed a series of board and leadership appointments across Racing NSW, Greyhound Racing NSW, and the Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission, marking a broad refresh of governance within the state's racing and greyhound sectors.
Former Olympian Jane Flemming OAM OLY has been appointed to the Racing NSW board for a four-year term through December 2029. Flemming brings expertise in sports media, marketing, and sponsorship to the role. She will serve alongside newly appointed board member David Tierney, who currently sits on the Venues NSW board and has more than 35 years of experience across construction, development, stadium operations, health, and government.
In the greyhound racing sector, the Government has confirmed the reappointment of Greyhound Racing NSW Chair Adam Casselden SC along with directors Louise Wakefield, Paul Gentle and Greg Johnson for new three-year terms expiring in December 2028. The board will also welcome experienced sports executive Craig Meagher as a new director, while Wakefield has been named Deputy Chair.
Further oversight continuity has been ensured through reappointments at the Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission. Chief Commissioner Brenton (Alby) Taylor has been reappointed for an additional two-year term and Commissioner Fiona Jolly will continue in her role until January 2028. Jolly, a legal practitioner, has previously served as a CEO and regulator in the marketing and media sectors and holds extensive governance experience as a Non-Executive Director.
The appointments form part of the NSW Government's ongoing effort to strengthen governance, welfare oversight and operational integrity across racing and greyhound activities in the state.
The NSW Government says the appointments strengthen oversight, welfare, and integrity across the state's racing industries
