This latest update comes at a key juncture for the company

IGT's VP of Global Communications for Government Relations and Sustainability, Phil O'Shaughnessy has officially joined the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) Board.

Now, as part of his new role as a Board Member, he will assist in key strategic association decisions as well as representing the interests and endeavors of IGT and Everi as part of its new venture. As part of his role at IGT, O'Shaughnessy helps lead the supplier's global communications team as well as heading the sustainability operations for the IGT and Everi enterprise.

O'Shaughnessy's expertise in gaming spans a seven-year tenure with IGT, prior to which he also held senior positions in the creative technology industry earlier in his career. Indeed, his experience will now make a valuable addition to the AGEM Board.

Speaking on his appointment via LinkedIn, O'Shaughnessy said: "I'm honored and excited to have joined the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturer's (AGEM) Board of Directors, representing the IGT and Everi enterprise to help AGEM further the interests of gaming equipment suppliers throughout the world."

Having helped steer his departments at IGT through its $6.3bn mega-merger transaction with Apollo and Everi, O'Shaughnessy will now look to further the supplier's endeavors as it moves forward into a new era.

This latest update comes falls in the wake of an additional significant personnel confirmation this month, with Hector Fernandez officially assuming his position as CEO of IGT - with former CEO Nick Kihn move to a strategic advisor role for the supplier's leadership team and Board of Directors. Elsewhere, last month IGT also launched its first bespoke collaboration with Hard Rock Bet in the state of New Jersey.
