Lotto.com has joined the 2025 Gift Responsibly Campaign to raise awareness around purchasing gambling related gifts for young people around Christmas.
The 2025 Gift Responsibly Campaign was launched by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) and supported by North American Association of State & Provincial Lotteries (NASPL).
It serves as a reminder to be aware about what gifts are bought for children and young people, particularly scratch cards and lottery tickets.
Although these have been popular gifts for many years, young people are being exposed to gambling at exponential rates with the rise of online casinos and mechanics in video games.
Thomas Metzger, Lotto.com CEO, said: "Education about the lottery industry is very important to our team at Lotto.com. Our commitment is rooted in empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate the lottery landscape responsibly.
"The 'Too Young To Bet' message is one we stand firmly behind, as protecting youth and promoting responsible play are fundamental to everything we do. Through education and awareness, we aim to enhance security, build trust, and continue to contribute to a positive lottery experience."
There are three different tiers of participation, with each level corresponding to different levels of activities and responsibilities on behalf of the operator.
In 2024, more than 175 lotteries and community organizations from around the world took part in the campaign.
Other companies that have joined the campaign this year include Allwyn UK, the Ukrainian National Lottery, Ontario Lottery and Gaming and several US state lotteries.
So far this year, the NCPG has seen record levels of participation in the Gift Responsibly Campaign.
For the last seven years, 100% of all eligible US and Canadian lotteries have participated in the Gift Responsibly Campaign
