Parimatch has been confirmed as the official Principal Partner of the Joburg Super Kings ahead of the upcoming SA20 cricket season in South Africa.
Under the agreement, Parimatch branding will feature prominently across the Joburg Super Kings' playing kits and at home fixtures during the tournament.
The partnership applies to the SA20 competition, South Africa's franchise-based T20 league, which includes teams backed by Indian Premier League ownership groups. Indeed, the Joburg Super Kings are affiliated with Chennai Super Kings and reached the SA20 final in their debut season.
The franchise competes in a league that has quickly established itself as a major fixture in the international cricket calendar, attracting global broadcast coverage and commercial interest.
Parimatch said the agreement forms part of its broader sports marketing strategy, which has focused on aligning with high-profile teams and competitions in markets where cricket maintains a strong following.
Pranav Arora, Head of Parimatch Press Office, said: "Partnership with Joburg Super Kings brings together two organisations with strong ambitions in sport. This collaboration allows us to engage with cricket audiences through one of South Africa's most prominent T20 franchises."
In addition to branding rights, the partnership includes plans for fan engagement initiatives and digital content tied to the SA20 season. Parimatch said these activities are intended to complement matchday exposure rather than operate as standalone promotions.
The deal highlights the continued role of gambling operators as commercial partners in global sports, particularly in cricket markets where sponsorship income plays a key role in franchise sustainability and league growth.
The agreement follows a series of high-profile betting-sector sponsorships in international sport. Earlier this year, Betano was named official sponsor of the CONMEBOL Women's Nations League, extending its partnership with South America's football confederation through 2028 as part of qualification pathways for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup.
The SA20 league features six franchises and runs during the southern hemisphere summer, with ownership groups drawn largely from established Indian Premier League teams
