PokerStars has appointed Germano Martucci as Customer Acquisition Director for its Italy operations, marking a new phase in his career within Flutter Entertainment.

Martucci confirmed the move in a LinkedIn post earlier today, stating he would begin the role at the start of 2026.

The appointment follows Martucci's recent tenure as Head of Customer Acquisition for PokerStars Italy, a position he held from April 2025 to January 2026.

In his new role, he will continue to lead customer acquisition efforts for the brand in one of Europe's most established regulated poker markets.

Martucci brings more than 15 years of experience across the online poker, casino and wider iGaming sectors. Prior to joining Flutter, he spent over four years at Sisal as Head of Poker, Skill Games and Bingo, overseeing multiple verticals within the Italian regulated market.

His career also includes senior roles at Sky Bet Italia, BetBright, HIT, BetConstruct and Microgame, as well as earlier positions focused on poker network management, product development and live operations.

Commenting on his appointment to the new role, Martucci stated: "I'm excited to start 2026 in the role of PokerStars Italy Customer Acquisition Director. This is another meaningful step in my journey at Flutter - one that I embrace with pride, a strong sense of responsibility, curiosity and the ambition to create even greater impact together. I'm grateful to everyone who supported me along the way and helped make this possible."

The appointment comes as PokerStars keeps seeking to bolster its presence across multiple territories, recently expanding its live casino offering through a partnership with Ezugi to supply live dealer games in the UK and Ontario markets.

The company has also maintained a presence in North American poker through its NAPT events, with brand ambassadors including Jason Koon, Maria Konnikova and Kenny Hallaert helping to build community engagement and expand the platform's reach.
