The appointment follows a series of commercial roles held within the company since 2022

Paddy Power Gaming has confirmed that Meadhbh O'Hanlon has taken up the role of bingo and poker Commercial Manager, effective January 2026.

This follows a Gambling Commission review which found that multiple Flutter-owned operators trading under the Paddy Power and Betfair brands failed to meet social responsibility requirements, prompting a £2m ($2.67m) settlement despite no formal fine being issued.

O'Hanlon moves into the position after more than three years with Paddy Power, during which time she held a number of commercial roles across the bingo and poker verticals. Her most recent position was Senior Commercial Executive, a role she held from June 2024 to January 2026.

In her new role, O'Hanlon is responsible for the commercial management of Paddy Power's bingo and poker products. The position includes oversight of performance, product development and coordination with internal teams. The role is based in London.

Just recently, Paddy Power announced the closure of 57 retail shops with Boyle Sports offering job interviews to ex-Paddy Power staff. This appointment follows amid the wider restructuring and industry changes affecting staff and operations.

Paddy Power has also been making waves in the world of darts, having recently extended its sponsorship of the World Darts Championship until 2031. The partnership has raised over £2m ($2.54m) for Prostate Cancer UK and continues to support fundraising and awareness initiatives.
