Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has launched the “Galaxy Macau Chill Coffee” Macau Coffee Cultural Festival, a three-day event running from 16 to 18 January at the Galaxy International Convention Center.

Organised through the “GEG SME Series”, the festival is positioned as the first large-scale coffee cultural event in Macau hosted by an integrated tourism and leisure enterprise.

The festival brings together 60 exhibitors from Macau, the Greater Bay Area and overseas markets, with more than 40 participants representing local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and Macau-based brands.

GEG has waived participation fees for exhibitors and provided logistical, promotional and operational support, offering SMEs a free platform to showcase products and generate sales.

Supported by several Macau SAR government bodies, including the Macao Government Tourism Office and the Economic and Technological Development Bureau, the event is designed to promote cross-sector development under the “tourism + gastronomy” strategy.

In addition to retail booths, the programme features talks, competitions and workshops led by international coffee professionals, including world champions from China, Brazil, Indonesia and Malaysia. Activities such as hand-brew and latte art competitions aim to encourage skills development and industry exchange across the region.

GEG has also incorporated digital promotion into the event, working with local media and livestreaming partners to broadcast festival highlights and host e-commerce livestreams.

Additionally, a “Coffee Tasting Reward Program” has been introduced to encourage on-site spending and visitor engagement.

The coffee festival represents the latest initiative in Galaxy Macau's broader strategy to integrate tourism with diverse entertainment sectors. In September 2025, the resort announced a multi-year partnership with UFC to host three Fight Night events at Galaxy Arena through 2029.

Good to know

Prior to the festival, GEG organized a logo and event name design contest with the Macau Young Entrepreneur Incubation Centre, awarding local company Loksophy Design MOP20,000 ($2,500) for creating the "Galaxy Macau Chill Coffee" brand identity and visual design
