Derek Stevens’ Las Vegas properties accepting Canadian currency through August

Downtown Las Vegas properties owned by gaming executive Derek Stevens, including Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, will begin valuing Canadian currency the same as USD as part of a new At Par program through August 31. 

"Canada has always been a part of my story, so I feel a deep connection to our Canadian visitors here in Las Vegas. My father went to the University of Toronto, and I was raised in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, where our home looked straight across the Detroit River toward Windsor,” Stevens said.

“Growing up, we could literally hear Canada – especially during Blue Jays matchups – and that stayed with me. Those experiences shaped how I think about welcoming Canadian guests. At Par is about honoring that connection and removing unnecessary barriers, making sure Canadian visitors feel just as welcome downtown as they always have, without worrying about exchange rates, fine print or doing the math at the cage."

Under the At Par program, Canadian guests will receive US$1 in value for every CAD$1 spent on gaming, hotel and beverage offerings regardless of daily exchange rates. 

Canadian guests may redeem up to CAD$500 in slot promotional play by visiting Club One at Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las Vegas or Golden Gate Hotel & Casino and presenting a valid Canadian ID or passport. 

Those eligible for the program are not required to stay at any of the three properties owned by Stevens, who serves as CEO of Circa Resort & Casino, although hotel rates listed in USD will remain the same amount even when converted to CAD.

On January 7, following the conclusion of its Circa Million, Survivor and Grandissimo professional football contests for the 2025-2026 season, Circa Sports announced it set a new record with $31m in total prizes paid out to the winners of each event.

Five participants of the Circa Survivor contest split the largest prize pool in the competition’s history, totaling just over $18.7m and resulting in respective payouts of $3.74m. Circa Sports also awarded prizes of $1m, $500,000, $400,000 and $325,000 for the top finishers of its seventh annual Circa Survivor contest.
