The appointment adds a dedicated Commercial Director role alongside Flutter Brazil’s existing executive leadership team, including recent changes at CEO and CCO level

Flutter Brazil has appointed Oliver King as Commercial Director for Betfair, adding a senior sportsbook executive as the operator advances its post-regulation strategy in Brazil.

King confirmed his appointment via LinkedIn, stating he was “hugely excited” to join Flutter Brazil as Commercial Director for Betfair. The role marks his transition from a long tenure at Betfair’s global operations into a leadership position focused on the Brazilian regulated betting market.

King brings 17 years of experience at Betfair, where he held a range of commercial and operational roles across sportsbook planning, trading and business development. Most recently, he served as Sports Commercial Director on an interim basis from April 2024, overseeing commercial strategy across the sportsbook division. His previous positions include Head of Sports Planning for the UK and Ireland, Head of Commercial Operations, Head of Football and Sports Advisory Services, and Head of Sports.

The Commercial Director role sits alongside Flutter Brazil’s executive leadership structure, which includes John Carroll as CCO following his move to Brazil after serving as Managing Director of Trading for Flutter’s UK and Ireland segment. In December 2025, the company also announced a leadership transition, with João Studart moving to Executive Chairman and Eduardo Monte assuming the CEO role.

Monte will feature in Global Gaming Insider magazine's February issue, discussing all things Brazil.

Flutter Brazil operates Betfair and Betnacional under authorization from Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Bets and maintains offices in São Paulo and Recife.

The company is positioning its combined portfolio to compete with established operators in Latin America’s largest regulated betting market as regulatory enforcement and market consolidation continue.
