This entertainment could potentially bring in younger customers to the casino and keep them coming back, panelists said

Gaming experts recently shared strategies on how to attract a new generation of players last week at the G2E conference in Las Vegas.

Two panelists took the stage for this educational session, including Erica Kosemund, Chief Brand Officer, Choctaw Nation Choctaw Casinos & Resorts and Paul Bell, Principal, HBG Design.

Appealing to customers today means looking at non-gaming amenities within casino resort spaces, according to Kosemund and Bell.

Bell pointed out younger generations, including Gen Z players, are looking for a deep connection with others while visiting a casino, rather than the sole experience of playing games on the gaming floor without much social interaction.

Both panelists agreed that this means considering social events and activities that can draw in and keep these customers coming back to gaming establishments.

Kosemund and Bell said their respective entertainment destinations have recently started looking beyond the gaming floor and focused on providing "activity and experience generators" that would appeal to Gen Z consumers.

A few of these amenities include "very cool" bar and grill options near entertainment and non-gaming activities, pools and theaters.

Private suites and party room options in resort hotels were another option both panelists said their destinations have considered when it comes to designing and updating their spaces.
