Laura Mack started in journalism as a writer and reporter in 2000. However, she took a break from the news world in 2003 to pursue other career experiences. Fifteen years later, she returned to journalism as a freelance writer for an online magazine and, in 2021, she turned her focus to gambling news writing.
When Laura first joined the team as a part-time content writer four years ago, she knew nothing about the gaming industry and had never spent time in a casino. However, she is no stranger to entertainment writing. While studying for her journalism degree, Laura wrote for the entertainment beat at her college newspaper. She covered concerts, plays, book and CD reviews, as well as previews and reviews of local events.
Today, she has expanded her knowledge base to include experience in both the gambling industry and in land-based casino play. Laura enjoys writing about her casino experiences by reviewing the places she visits. Throughout her time writing gambling news, she has grown to love playing video slot machines and learning more about new and popular games. Whether it’s an old-school slot or the latest release, Laura is open to trying them all.
