Birches Health has been named to the 2026 New York Digital Health 100 (DH100), an annual list published by Digital Health New York (DHNY) recognizing digital health companies considered to be driving innovation and measurable impact across the healthcare sector.
The DH100 is released alongside DHNY’s New York Healthcare Innovation Report, which examines investment trends, market dynamics and emerging opportunities within the regional digital health ecosystem.
Now in its seventh year, the list includes a mix of newly selected companies and members of the DHNY Hall of Fame, which highlights organizations that have played a long-term role in building New York’s digital health landscape.
Founded in 2023, Birches Health focuses on the treatment of gambling disorder, a condition that has gained increased attention in recent years amid the expansion of online gambling and sports betting across the United States.
The company operates what it describes as the nation’s largest clinical network dedicated to gambling disorder treatment, offering insurance-covered care through a combination of individual therapy, group counseling, peer support and financial wellness services.
Elliott Rapaport, Founder and CEO of Birches Health, said: “Gambling Disorder has long sat at the margins of the behavioral health system, despite its severity and scale.”
Rapaport added: “Being recognized by Digital Health New York reflects our work to build a national care model that supports clients where they are and treats gambling addiction with the seriousness it demands.”
According to DHNY, this year’s DH100 reflects a broader shift in digital health from early experimentation toward scaled deployment and operational execution.
Bunny Ellerin, Co-founder and CEO of DHNY, said the companies selected demonstrate how innovation in care delivery and data infrastructure is translating into sustainable healthcare businesses.
Birches Health has expanded rapidly since securing a combined $20m Series A and seed funding round in September 2025.
The provider currently operates in all 50 states and works with major national insurers, as well as state health agencies and industry stakeholders, to facilitate access to treatment.
In January 2026, Birches Health appointed Andrew DiGiacomo as SVP of Strategy. DiGiacomo previously held senior roles at Cigna-Evernorth, Henry Schein and Beacon Health Options and was brought in to support payer partnerships and national scale.
Birches Health reported in late 2025 that 85% of patients showed clinically significant improvement in gambling disorder symptoms following treatment, based on internal outcomes data
