Digitain has secured certification from the Gambling Commission in the UK for its Sportsbook and core platform, alongside obtaining a UK betting licence covering both real and virtual events.
The approval confirms that Digitain’s technology meets the UK regulator’s technical, operational and compliance standards, allowing the supplier to support licensed operators active in Great Britain.
The UK is widely regarded as one of the most demanding gambling jurisdictions globally, with strict requirements around consumer protection, governance, technical resilience and ongoing compliance.
Certification from the Gambling Commission enables Digitain to offer its platform and Sportsbook to UK-facing operators within this regulatory framework.
According to the company, the certification process assessed Digitain’s systems, controls and governance structures, including areas such as transparency, risk management and regulatory oversight.
The approval applies to both the Sportsbook product and the underlying platform infrastructure.
Digitain said its UK-certified Sportsbook has been designed to operate within highly regulated environments, providing operators with configurable controls while maintaining product depth and performance.
The platform is intended to support localisation and scalability without compromising compliance requirements set by the regulator.
In November 2025, Digitain appointed a UK Sales Director, while earlier regulatory approvals included the acquisition of a Belgian gaming licence as Digitain continued to build its presence in regulated markets.
The Gambling Commission approval allows Digitain to formally engage with UK-licensed operators at a time when suppliers face increasing scrutiny around compliance, governance and long-term operational stability.
The certification places Digitain among a limited group of platform and Sportsbook providers authorised to operate within the UK’s regulatory framework.
In January 2026, Digitain secured an Isle of Man iGaming software supplier licence, with the company citing the jurisdiction’s regulatory credibility as a key factor in its long-term regulated market strategy.
The Gambling Commission oversees one of the world’s most established gambling regulatory regimes, with a strong focus on player protection, transparency and enforcement across licensed operators and suppliers
