Figures were up for the most part, though the operator's Vegas segment struggles
Revenue for the year so far totalled SEK 5.56bn, up 2%

Svenska Spel has released its interim report for the January - September 2025 period.

For Q3, Svenska Spel's net gaming revenue reached SEK 1.87bn ($200m), up 7% year-on-year. Its Tur segment, which accounts for various online and land-based lottery products, also saw 7% growth, with the operator pointing to interest in its Eurojackpot product as a reason. This can be seen with the record-breaking sales it experienced in September thanks to a particularly high jackpot.

Lotto was also relaunched with a new design, drawing in new and returning players.

Sports and casino revenue was up 9%, with sports in particular developing under Svenska Spel's Oddsnet brand. Ice hockey was noted as a sport with developing interest.

Svenska Spel's Vegas segment did not fare as well, down 10% year-on-year. Various factors contributed to this, including a challenging economic situation for partners.

Its online business segment has seen continuous development, with 65% of earnings coming from this channel, up 5%. Indeed, this segment grew by 15% overall.

Overall, profit increased 19% to SEK 718m, with an operating margin of 38%, up 3% year-on-year.

The highest prize Svenska Spel awarded in the quarter was over SEK 409m in the Eurojackpot, the third-highest prize in the operator's history. The highest sports bet earning was SEK 10m.

Other items of note during the quarter include the awarding of 60 sports scholarships of SEK 60,000, in partnership with the Swedish Sports Confederation. Svenska Spel's research council was also granted SEK 5m towards six new gambling-related research projects.

In the nine-month period ended 30 September, net gaming revenue came to SEK 5.56bn, up 2% year-on-year. Online sales were up 9%, while operating profit grew 8% to SEK 1.9bn, with an operating margin of 34%, up from 32%

Casino Cosmopol was shut in April. This came following the Government's decision to disallow land-based gaming from the start of 2026. It also came following years of dwindling earnings from the segment. Svenska Spel is currently looking to sell the Casino Cosmopol property.

Overall profit came to SEK 1.54bn, up from last year's SEK 1.42bn.
