Live content studio 155.io has developed a new genre of real-world game based on live CCTV footage, and the product has now been taken on by online operators including Stake, Shuffle and Roobet.
The game, Rush Hour, streams CCTV feeds of roads and junctions to players, who are able to bet on simple outcomes like how many cars will pass by or in which direction they will turn.
It is the latest in a sequence of unusual live games produced by the studio, featuring marble runs, rubber duck races and more.
In December 2025, company Founder Sam Jones spoke exclusively with Global Gaming Insider about a new release called Fish Tank, in which people guess which direction a coin will float when dropped into the water.
At the time, Jones told us: “I know how hard it is to get people's attention. We look for stuff trending on TikTok and Instagram and try to improve upon it.”
Rush Hour is described as the first game from its CCTV game portfolio, implying more to come.
On the game's rapid uptake, Jones has commented: “The speed at which our live CCTV.game, Rush Hour, has become a phenomenon is crazy. Being taken on by big names like Stake, Shuffle and Roobet highlights the level of demand we’re seeing from the next generation of players."
The mobile-first product runs 24/7 and one online streamer who played the game generated more than five million views.
Jones added: “The data we are seeing from around the world is incredible, and it’s clear we’re building something that genuinely resonates with audiences looking for innovative concepts, rather than the same types of games we have seen for years."
