Xpoint has been granted a vendor license to provide geolocation and compliance services to the regulated sports betting market in Massachusetts.
The Miami-based supplier is now authorized to support online sports wagering operators in 28 US states and territories, in addition to Ontario, Canada.
Approval from the Massachusetts Gaming Commission enables Xpoint to offer its geolocation technology to licensed operators in the state, ensuring wagers are placed within permitted jurisdictions and in line with local regulatory requirements.
The supplier said its platform uses geofencing and multiple data points to determine player location and prevent out-of-state wagering. The system is also designed to flag potentially suspicious activity in real time.
The Massachusetts authorization follows a period of international expansion for Xpoint, which recently entered Missouri, Brazil and the UAE as part of its broader growth strategy.
Xpoint CEO Manu Gambhir said: “Securing our license in Massachusetts is a vital step as we continue to make strides in the geolocation space.”
He added: “Massachusetts has a passionate sports culture and a sophisticated regulatory framework and we are excited to provide the precision technology necessary to maintain the integrity of the state’s sports betting ecosystem.”
Gambhir states that the approval reflects the supplier’s ability to operate within regulated environments.
Gambhir commented: “Our growth into the Bay State demonstrates our team’s ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes quickly and efficiently.”
Massachusetts permits both retail and online sports wagering. The addition of the state further strengthens Xpoint’s footprint across North America as competition among compliance and geolocation providers continues in regulated markets.
The supplier also noted that a recent investment round has been allocated toward product development and further expansion efforts.
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission reported that total gaming revenue in the state fell 6.9% year-on-year to $179m in January 2026, with sports wagering revenue down 12.7% YoY to $82.4m despite handle rising 6.1%.
Massachusetts’ total sports wagering handle reached $808.9m in January 2026, even as revenue declined year-on-year
