The Paraná State Lottery (Lottopar), the state-level lottery authority in Paraná, has warned the public about the irregular operation of the website Apostas Premium, which it says has been using the regulator’s name and visual identity without authorization.
According to Lottopar, the platform is not licensed to operate lottery products or fixed-odds betting within the state.
The regulator stated that the website has been presenting itself in a way that suggests institutional backing, despite having no contractual, regulatory or institutional link with the authority.
In response, Lottopar confirmed it has taken formal steps to halt the irregular activity. The regulator has notified the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) at Brazil’s Ministry of Finance and has requested that the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) take measures to block access to the site nationwide.
The authority said the platform does not hold either federal or state authorization.
Lottopar added that it continues to monitor the market using regulatory oversight tools aimed at combating parallel operations and ensuring a secure betting environment.
The regulator also reiterated guidance for consumers.
Authorized operators in Paraná must operate exclusively within state boundaries, display Lottopar’s official seal prominently and, under federal rules, use the .bet.br domain extension.
Lottopar encourages players to consult its official website for a list of approved operators before engaging with any platform.
The authority stressed that regulated operators are required to implement responsible gambling measures, including deposit limits and self-exclusion tools, as well as safeguards against money laundering.
Unlicensed platforms, it warned, do not provide these protections and may expose users to financial and data security risks.
