Flutter Entertainment has chosen to integrate its PokerStars brand into the FanDuel Casino platform as part of an exclusive multi-state launch, providing access to poker players in Pennsylvania, Michigan and New Jersey.
Under the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement, players currently residing in the three states will be able to wager in tandem to create larger prize pools and an expanded selection of tournaments and cash games.
PokerStars had previously begun pooling funds from Michigan and New Jersey in late 2022, with Pennsylvania having only joined the Internet Gaming Agreement last year.
The poker brand’s existing US sites will be shut down as part of the exclusive FanDuel launch, with players now required to create FanDuel Casino accounts in order to gain access to PokerStars in the regulated jurisdictions.
PokerStars will also operate exclusively under FanDuel in Ontario, Canada, although the province does not allow for non-resident player pooling at the time of writing.
While no official date has been announced for when the new integration will go live, FanDuel’s info hub pages state that PokerStars Rewards will conclude on March 13, while PokerStars Casino Progressive Jackpots are set to be removed on April 1.
Those able to register for a FanDuel Casino account will also have access to shared wallet and account capabilities across PokerStars poker, FanDuel Casino and the operator’s sportsbook platform.
