Galaxy Entertainment Group celebrates its third HR award of the year
The operator has been recognized for its commitment to employee development

Operator Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has been formally awarded three recent accolades relating to its Human Resources department.

Indeed, the company’s Training and Development segment was named Team of the Year for Hospitality and Leisure at the 2026 Hong Kong Business Management Excellence Awards for its career pathway and professional development employee People Readiness Plan.

This recognition saw GEG become the only Macanese gaming operator to receive the award, and comes following two additional recently granted awards, also recognizing endeavors made by Galaxy’s HR department.

Accepting this third HR-related recognition of the calendar year so far on behalf of GEG was the operator’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Bill Lu. Galaxy has cited 4,000 employees who have obtained professional certifications relating to improved skills and standards – as it actively encourages additional courses and growth through its structured schemes. Over the course of 2025, the company invested more than one million training hours for its employees.

Earlier this year, Galaxy also marked 15 years of its Youth Achievement Programme, which focuses on self-awareness, community care and career development and has involved 3,600+ participants since 2011.

The company also welcomed the Chinese New Year with a range of programs and initiatives last month, more recently also posting its latest financial results for 2025 – highlighting a full year revenue figure of HK$49.2bn (US$6.3bn). In the wake of these results, GEG Chairman Francis Lui Yiu Tung stated that he remains confident in Macau’s gaming performance following the Lunar New Year period, underlining that the group’s hotels remained at near-full capacity following the festivities.
