Wind Creek Chicago Southland has launched a new retail sportsbook facility in partnership with Kambi, which is set to power the 4,200 sq ft expansion and provide guests with an enhanced viewing experience for sporting events.
"Our goal was to create a space where you can fully immerse yourself in the game and all of the thrills that come with it," Wind Creek Chicago Southland EVP and GM Jahnae Erpenbach said.
"This is where Illinois sports fans – and all fans – can come together to enjoy and wager on the sporting events they love at Chicago-Southland's premier gaming and entertainment destination."
The new Sportsbook at Wind Creek facility offers two LED television walls, nine self-service betting kiosks located throughout the casino floor and BYOD technology.
The BYOD technology allows customers to form wagers on their mobile devices before finalizing bets at a retail window. Wind Creek Chicago Southland confirmed “all major wager types” will be accepted, including same-game parlays and prop bets.
The facility will be made available 24 hours a day and also include traditional casino offerings such as in-lounge video poker and bubble craps machines.
On March 11, the Illinois Gaming Board reported the state’s total casino activity for February 2026, as commercial gaming establishments generated $167.6m of revenue, equating to growth of 18.6%.
Wind Creek Chicago Southland was able to generate the second most revenue of all Illinois gaming properties with $18.9m and grew 40.1%, while Hollywood Casino Joliet reported the largest increase in revenue after rising 62.9% to $11.1m.
The increase year-over-year was primarily assisted by the opening of a temporary Fairmount Park facility during April 2025, which accounted for $1.9m of revenue for the monthly period.
Kambi formally took over contractual responsibility for the OLG’s multi-channel sportsbook on January 29 following a novation agreement reached with FDJ Gaming Solutions France and the regulator
