Highlight Games has entered a partnership with Bulletproof Games to develop a Serie A-themed slot product for the Italian market.
The London-based supplier of video virtuals and instant win games will provide licensed archive footage from Italy’s top football league, which Bulletproof Games will use to build the slot title. Distribution of the product will be managed by Yggdrasil Gaming.
The agreement expands Highlight Games’ use of its football archive content beyond virtual sports products, where it has previously focused its portfolio.
Highlight Games CEO, Steven Holmes, said: "We are confident that the popularity of featuring archive Serie A footage in games will translate equally well into slots and casino environments."
Bulletproof Games, a games developer, will be responsible for designing and producing the slot, integrating the licensed footage into gameplay.
Bulletproof Games Managing Director, Craig Ball, said: "This partnership allows us to combine Highlight Games’ rich archive of Serie A content with Bulletproof’s expertise in building engaging slot experiences."
Ball added: "We are confident that together we will create a product that will strongly appeal to Italian slots players."
The product is scheduled to go live later in 2026, with a focus on the Italian online casino market. The involvement of Yggdrasil Gaming as the deployment partner indicates the title will be distributed via its aggregation platform to licensed operators in the region.
The move reflects ongoing activity among suppliers seeking to repurpose sports-related content across different verticals, including slots and casino games, particularly in regulated European markets such as Italy.
Highlight Games previously expanded its Soccerbet portfolio into Brazil through a launch with Superbet, marking its entry into the market with archive-based football content from Serie A, LaLiga and the English Premier League.
The rollout followed earlier activity in Poland and forms part of its broader international strategy across regulated jurisdictions.
The new slot will use historical match footage rather than simulated gameplay elements
