Light & Wonder has appointed Lauren Bates as General Manager for Canada, with responsibility for overseeing its operations across the country.
The supplier said the role includes management of its core business segments, including games, systems and table products, as it continues to develop its presence in the Canadian market.
Bates confirmed the appointment in a public statement, outlining her remit across regional operations and partnerships.

The appointment consolidates leadership oversight across multiple verticals within the country, bringing together the supplier’s land-based and digital offerings under a single regional role.
Bates also referenced coordination across Light & Wonder’s product portfolio, including its content and systems divisions.

Light & Wonder operates across both land-based and online gaming segments, supplying content, platform technology and hardware to operators in regulated markets.
Canada remains a key jurisdiction for suppliers due to its provincial regulatory structure and the expansion of online gaming, particularly in Ontario. The appointment comes as suppliers continue to align regional leadership with multi-channel operations across regulated environments.
