Passport Technology has appointed Chad Boynak as its new Chief Executive Officer, following his previous tenures with the company as both as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

The company said the move reflects its focus on operational stability and continued expansion in the payments and automation segments of the gaming industry.

Boynak, who joined Passport in early 2023, has led the company's financial and operational strategy during a period of product launches and infrastructure investment.

His promotion comes as Passport looks to strengthen its position in areas such as cashless payments, compliance technology and casino automation.

With more than two decades of experience in gaming and finance, Boynak previously served as CFO at Parq Vancouver Resort and Casino, where he oversaw financing, development and operations of the $800m property.

He also held leadership positions at Edgewater Casino and Paragon Gaming, managing the rollout and operation of several gaming facilities across North America.

"Chad's vast experience in gaming as an operator and vendor, combined with his financial, operational and technical mindset, will best position Passport to maximize product and infrastructure investments made over the past few years," said Scott Dowty, Chairman of Passport Technology, on the appointment.

Boynak described his appointment as an opportunity to maintain Passport's recent momentum in product development and client service.

"Passport's success is driven by our incredible team, our innovative spirit, and commitment to delivering exceptional value and service to our customers," he said.

"We'll continue to enhance technology, deepen partnerships and strengthen Passport's position as an industry leader."
