Macau’s Secretary for Economy and Finance, Tai Kin Ip, has stepped down from his post. China’s State Council formally approved his removal following a request he submitted earlier to Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai.

In a statement issued on April 16, Tai said he had requested to resign for personal reasons.
