Inspired Entertainment launched its iGaming portfolio in South Africa with six operators, including Hollywood Bets and Betway, via the Light & Wonder content marketplace
The South African online gaming market is projected to double in size by 2030

Inspired Entertainment has launched its iGaming content portfolio in South Africa, partnering with six operators including Hollywood Bets and Betway, two of the country's dominant online gaming platforms.

The move gives the supplier access to roughly 90% of the South African online gaming market, according to the company.

The rollout was made possible through Inspired's existing agreement with Light & Wonder, with content distributed via the Light & Wonder iGaming content marketplace.

South Africa joins a growing list of regulated markets where Inspired has established a footprint, and industry projections suggest the local online gaming sector could double in size by 2030.

Brooks Pierce, President and CEO, said: "The South African market represents an exciting opportunity for Inspired as we continue to broaden our global reach. Launching our iGaming portfolio with such well-known South African operators, collectively representing the majority of the market, marks an important milestone in our expansion.

“Providing access to approximately 90% of the market, we are excited to collaborate with these well-known leaders to deliver fresh, engaging experiences to players, including localized features tailored specifically to South African audiences. We look forward to demonstrating how our content performs in this dynamic market."

The company noted that the South Africa launch includes locally adapted features, signaling an effort to go beyond a standard content drop and tailor its offering to regional player preferences. Inspired also emphasized responsible gaming as a pillar of its approach in the new market.

The announcement follows a period of active international deal-making for Inspired. Earlier this month, the company disclosed a virtual sports expansion with BetMGM and a SaaS distribution agreement with Playtech, scaling its content across multiple channels and geographies simultaneously.
