FDJ United has reported its financial results for the first quarter of 2026, as gross gaming revenue (GGR) climbed 1% year-on-year to €2.2bn (US$2.6bn), despite revenue decreasing 3% for a total of €895m.
French lottery and retail sports betting unit GGR remained stable at just over €1.7bn, even while the vertical’s revenue fell 2% to €627m.
The decrease was impacted toward the end of Q1 2026 by fewer long cycles for draw games, less attractive sports fixtures and a high payout ratio for retail sports betting.
Point-of-sale revenue for lottery operations decreased 3% to €346m, while online lottery revenue reported a Q1 2026 revenue of €81m, representing an increase of 1% and 15.5% of FDJ’s total lottery revenue.
Online betting and gaming revenue for the operator decreased 1% for a total of €342m during Q1 2026, with revenue falling 8% to €213m. The operator highlighted improved performances in France and Sweden, as well as a 3% increase in the number of active players using its platform.
"In an environment still affected by the impact of tax increases and tighter regulations on gaming, the Group is stepping up its efforts in operational efficiency, synergies and financial discipline, with the aim of returning to sustainable, value-creating growth from the second half of the year onwards, for the benefit of all its stakeholders,” FDJ Chairwoman and CEO Stéphane Pallez said.
The operator’s international lottery vertical managed to increase revenue during Q1 2026 by 7% to €41m, while payment and services revenue decreased 7.2% for a total of €14m.
FDJ also unveiled the appointment of Dan Lévy as CFO in the midst of its Q1 financial report, set to go into effect on 18 May 2026.
