The ‘’World Pool by PMU’’ logo will be used from the Prix Ganay on 26 April 2026, when the HKJC is once again included in the PMU international pool for selected major French flat races during the 2026 season.
This new visual will allow bettors to easily identify the French races covered by this system, which operates under PMU rules and includes the HKJC in the common pool hosted by PMU.
Since October 2019, the HKJC has participated in Win and Place bets within the PMU common pool for a selection of French races.
This means that stakes collected by the HKJC on these bets are combined with those collected by PMU from French customers and international partners.
The World Pool by PMU logo will be visible on PMU digital media, at points of sale, on the Equidia channel and at the racecourses hosting the races concerned.
On 31 March, PMU launched its new platform, PMU Play, which combines horseracing, sports betting and poker within a single app.
One of the platform’s aims is to shift the operator’s cross-selling strategy, focusing on encouraging sports and poker bettors to try horseracing in 2026. It noted that it is easier to engage existing gamblers than to attract non-gamblers.
Olivier Pribile, PMU’s Director of Marketing, Product and E-commerce, stated: “Both in terms of market share and customer numbers. Growth over the last ten years has been driven by three activities: lottery, sports betting and poker. Horseracing is lacking.”
The operator is therefore placing strong emphasis on revitalising horseracing activity.
PMU Play is the only app on the French market that combines horseracing, sports betting and poker in a single platform
