Intralot Gaming Services (IGS), the Australian subsidiary of Bally’s Intralot, has been awarded a 15-year Electronic Gaming Machine (EGM) Monitoring Licence in Victoria.
The licence will be effective from 16 August 2027, giving the company time to prepare operations.
Once the licence goes live, Bally’s Intralot will be responsible for the delivery, operation and maintenance of the statewide Pre-commitment System for all EGMs in Victoria, including 2,628 EGMs at the Melbourne casino.
IGS will also connect around 26,300 EGMs to the monitoring system that will oversee all transactions in gaming venues.
The cloud-enabled platform will deliver real-time monitoring and reporting capabilities, advanced data analytics, cybersecurity protections and scalable architecture to support the evolving regulatory landscape.
The system will also provide up-to-date information on EGMs for regulatory, harm minimisation, taxation and research purposes.
Robeson Reeves, Bally’s Intralot CEO, said: “This award represents a major milestone for Bally’s Intralot and IGS and is a significant investment in the future of Victoria’s gaming technology infrastructure.
“We look forward to working with the Victorian Government, the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission, and industry stakeholders to deliver a secure and transparent monitoring system that supports integrity and player protection.”
IGS and Bally’s Intralot will hold several stakeholder meetings over the summer to ensure that the process is as seamless as possible.
The combined Bally’s Intralot brand was only recently unveiled in North America following Intralot’s €2.7bn ($3.1bn) acquisition of Bally’s International Interactive.
Intralot Gaming Services Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Intralot Australia Pty Ltd, which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bally’s Intralot Group
