The Horseracing Bettors Forum (HBF) has released a survey aimed at punters to assess their order of priorities when it comes to the sport.
The survey only asks two questions, with the main one being a sliding format that asks individuals to rank what are the most important aspects of racing in their eyes.
This includes free bets and promotions, clear terms and conditions, an ombudsman, guaranteed wins and more.
Sean Trivass, HBF Chair, said: “It is always our aim to represent punters to the best of our ability and the surest way to make certain we are working toward the same goals is via the results of our annual survey.
“In the past we have been held back by slightly unwieldy surveys that saw disappointing interaction, so in 2026 we have gone to the other extreme.
“This is our simplest survey yet with just the one question to put into your order of priorities, after which we will be better informed of the issues affecting those we represent.”
This has been issued as warnings continue to be made regarding the Gambling Commission’s proposed Financial Risk Assessments (FRAs) that would affect how players interact with operators.
The HBF survey offers two pairs of tickets to “any UK racecourse” to be drawn and allocated at random from the pool of people who complete the survey.
As the horseracing scene continues to evolve and change in ways to attract bettors back to racecourses, the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) confirmed that ticket sales have been increasing recently.
The HBF is the only recognised body representing punters in the UK today and was founded in 2015
