City of Dreams Sri Lanka is opening a new dining experience, named The Grand Pâtisserie Affair.
The pâtisserie will be located in The Crystal Lounge, NÜWA, which overlooks the city's skyline from the 25th floor.
Guests will be able to browse the goods, which include handcrafted pastries, eclairs, fruit tarts, warm scones, and gourmet creations, between 3pm and 6pm each Saturday and Sunday.
City of Dreams Sri Lanka has described the tastes as a blend of "European finesse and subtle local inspiration" that will mark "a new chapter in the city's high tea scene."
This safe, family-friendly environment is exactly the direction we predicted resorts would pivot towards in Asia in the coming months.
Not only is Melco presenting itself as a destination that is perfect for the entire family to visit, but MGM Macau and Inspire Arena are also doing the same. This is a trend Global Gaming Insider recently covered - expect more of a family-friendly approach for land-based casinos across the globe.
City of Dreams Sri Lanka is the first integrated resort in Sri Lanka and is currently the largest private investment in the country.
It is part of the Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts Chain, with Melco Resorts & Entertainment at the helm of the gaming facility.
A spokesperson for City of Dreams Sri Lanka said: "The Grand Pâtisserie Affair is a celebration of artistry and refinement - a place where Colombo's high tea tradition evolves into something timeless, inspired, and truly NÜWA."
The experience will be priced at LKR 5,000 ($16.43) per person and is now open for reservations
