The Star Entertainment Group has announced the appointment of Don Pasquariello as a Non-Executive Director, subject to all required regulatory and ministerial approvals. Until the approval process is complete, he will act as an Observer to The Star Board.

Mr Pasquariello has more than 40 years of experience in audit, assurance and professional services, having served as a senior Client Service Partner at Deloitte and KPMG. He has advised some of Australia's largest listed companies across the property, infrastructure, entertainment, hospitality and healthcare sectors, and brings extensive insight into corporate governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.

His appointment comes as The Star continues to strengthen its leadership and governance framework, with an emphasis on transparency, accountability and long-term stability.

Mr Pasquariello currently serves as Chair of the Oliver Hume Property Group of Companies and Advisory Board Director of Villawood Properties Group. He is also a Director of St Vincent's Institute of Medical Research Limited and Jesuit Education Australasia Limited.

Mr Pasquariello said he was "excited to be joining The Star at this critical time" and looks forward to collaborating with the board and management to drive sustainable growth.

Chairman Anne Ward welcomed the appointment, noting that his extensive audit and governance background will add valuable perspective to the company's ongoing transformation.
