Lenovo will also hold an Experience Booth at the venue

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) has launched its Home of Football campaign ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

The HKJC has signed a deal with Lenovo, the Official Technology Partner of FIFA World Cup 2026, to create the “Racing with Football” series at Happy Valley Racecourse.

A Lenovo Experience Booth will be hosted at the property that showcases the company’s role at the World Cup, and will be the only place outside the tournament's host regions where fans can enjoy this experience.

The Booth will open on 10 June, alongside a special appearance from an “iconic international football legend.”

Ken Wong, Lenovo Executive VP and President of Lenovo’s Solutions & Services Group, said: “As Official Technology Partner of FIFA World Cup 2026, Lenovo is thrilled to bring the innovation behind one of the world's biggest sporting events to Hong Kong through our collaboration with The Hong Kong Jockey Club.

“Technology today plays a critical role in sport, from event operations and real-time analytics to fan engagement and immersive experiences. Lenovo has a proven track record supporting major international sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup, the Olympic Games, and Formula One.

“Through the Lenovo Experience Booth, fans will have a unique opportunity to explore AI-powered technologies that are helping shape the future of sport. This collaboration reflects Lenovo's commitment to transforming global innovation into meaningful local experiences.”

Keen analysts may remember that this is not the first combined sports event that will be held at the Happy Valley Racecourse this year.

In April, the HKJC created a "Racing with Rugby" event to celebrate the local teams.
