The European Dealer Championship has announced its winners for the most recent European Casino Association’s (ECA) event.
The Championship finals were held at Casino Baden-Baden, which is fitting considering who was crowned the ultimate winner.
Temin Joguncic was crowned the European Dealer Champion 2026, representing none other than Casino Baden-Baden in Germany and therefore winning on his home turf.
Second place went to Robin Stepanek, representing Casino Stuttgart, also located in Germany.
Third place was awarded to Manon Martire, from Casino de Monte-Carlo, Monaco.
The Best Mathematician award went to Miran Penzes, from City of Dreams Mediterranean, Cyprus.
The Best Card Handler was Oskar Flodin, from Casino Helsinki, Finland.
Christopher Elena from Casino Monte-Carlo was given two commendations regarding their chip handling skills, both the Best in Pushing Stacks and Best in Cutting Chips.
And finally, the Best Chipper went to the overall winner, Joguncic.
A spokesperson from the ECA said: “We warmly congratulate all participants in this year’s event and extend our sincere gratitude to Baden-Württembergische Spielbanken, host of the competition, to the dedicated EDC sponsors for their continued support, and to the tournament organisation teams at Casino Baden-Baden and the ECA for their outstanding efforts.”
The European Dealer Championship is an annual event that encourages croupiers across Europe to push and develop their skills beyond a purely working aptitude.
It also serves as a networking event for the dealers, who may otherwise struggle to meet other croupiers or industry professionals in their normal line of work.
Meanwhile, in Uruguay, Grupo Cipriani has launched a six-month training program for 126 young residents to become croupiers for a casino due to open in December.
The 2025 Dealer Champion was Mathew Taylor-Harrison from the Hippodrome Casino in the UK
