Ohkay Casino Hotel has partnered with Española Pathways Shelter to support people facing homelessness or housing instability in Northern New Mexico.

The ATMs on the property will offer guests the option to donate small amounts of change from their winnings directly to Española Pathways Shelter.

The donations will be used to fund shelter services, housing assistance, food support, and other essential resources.

Guests can choose to donate more money if they wish.

Travis Garlick, Ohkay Casino Hotel GM, said: "At Ohkay Casino Hotel, we believe being a good neighbor means finding meaningful ways to give back.

"This partnership allows our guests to make a difference with just the touch of a button. Together, we can help support individuals and families who are working toward greater stability and a brighter future."

The partnership reflects Ohkay Casino Hotel’s commitment to supporting the wider community.

Española Pathways Shelter connects people with housing resources, healthcare services, food assistance, treatment programs, and long-term support designed to help people regain stability and independence.

Since launching in 2022, the organization has helped 750 people, including 426 veterans, served 17,000 meals, helped 65 people into rehabilitation programs and 85 people into detox programs.

Dena Moscola, Española Pathways Shelter Executive Director and CEO, said: "We are honored to partner with Ohkay Casino Hotel in supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness in our community.

"Their generosity strengthens our ability to provide shelter, support services, and hope to those working toward stability and housing. This collaboration reflects the strength of our community coming together to care for one another."

In a similar story, the Casinos Unite Against Hunger campaign in southern New Jersey helped to raise around $400,000 for those struggling with food insecurity.
