Svenska Spel has extended its partnership deal with the Swedish Ski Association until 2032. Their collaboration supports skiing and snowboarding across Sweden, from young athletes to national teams.
For the first time, the partnership will cover all disciplines under the Swedish Ski Association, including alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, freeskiing, ski jumping and ski cross, alongside additional disciplines such as roller skiing and freeride.
A central element of the expanded agreement is Team Svenska Spel, which will be broadened into an exclusive development platform for athletes just below world elite level. The initiative aims to provide improved training environments, increased resources and clearer progression pathways.
Svenska Spel CEO Anna Johnson stated: “This is the largest investment ever in Swedish ski and snowboard sport. Together with the Swedish Ski Association we want to create conditions for the next major chapter in skiing and snowboarding history: that Sweden becomes the best in the world in snow sports.”
Swedish Ski Association Secretary General Pernilla Bonde added: “Skis and snowboarding reach hundreds of thousands of people across Sweden, from small local clubs in rural areas to national teams on the world stage.
“This partnership allows us to strengthen the entire chain – and at its core it is about much more than medals. It is about a meaningful leisure activity, about clubs being able to grow and about a more active Sweden. We are extremely happy to have Svenska Spel with us on that journey.”
Svenska Spel said the long-term goal is to strengthen Sweden’s position as a leading winter sports nation and help more young athletes commit fully to elite development.
Svenska Spel recently reported its financial results for the first quarter of 2026, with net gaming revenue for the operator growing 2% to nearly SEK1.9bn (US$206.2m)
