The Bogotá Lottery has launched a new prize structure headlined by a COP12bn top prize, marking one of the biggest updates to its product offering in recent years.
The new scheme took effect on 18 June and increased both the headline jackpot and the number of secondary prizes available to players. Under the revised structure, the operator will award a COP12bn grand prize, alongside a COP1bn secondary prize, a COP500m prize, three COP200m prizes and six COP50m prizes.
The lottery has also expanded its lower-tier prize offering, increasing the number of COP20m prizes from 10 to 12 as part of a wider effort to improve winning opportunities.
Promoting the launch under the slogan “Now it really covers everything”, the Bogotá Lottery described the update as a major enhancement designed to attract players while strengthening the legal lottery market.
The operator also used the announcement to reinforce messages around legal gambling participation, encouraging consumers to purchase tickets through authorized retailers and official distribution channels.
Lottery officials emphasized that legal lottery sales play a direct role in funding public services, particularly healthcare programs that receive a portion of gambling proceeds under Colombia’s regulatory framework.
Recently, the municipality of Guática joined a regional initiative led by the Risaralda Lottery aimed at formalizing gambling activity and combating illegal operations.
The agreement became the eleventh “Pact for Legality” signed in the department and forms part of a broader strategy to protect funding generated for Colombia’s healthcare system through regulated gambling activity.
