Prior to the 2026-2027 NFL season, a standalone Splash Market tab will launch and offer markets embedded throughout existing games
Polymarket Founder and CEO Shayne Coplan believes the ‘gamification of live events’ will serve as the ‘next phase’ of sports engagement

Polymarket has formed a new partnership with Splash Sports to integrate prediction markets into the social gaming platform by the start of the 2026-2027 NFL season, also resulting in the sponsorship of a new $21m survivor football contest.

The $21m in guaranteed prizes represents a new record for pro football contests according to Polymarket, rivaling that of Circa Sports’ Circa Million & Survivor competitions.

"The next phase of sports engagement will be defined by the gamification of live events," Polymarket Founder & CEO Shayne Coplan said.

"Splash has built one of the largest skill-based social sports communities in the US and I’ve personally been a user of their legacy brand for many years. We believe that partnering with them for the biggest survivor contest in history is the perfect way to bring prediction markets to NFL fans at scale."

Splash Sports will integrate the operator’s event contracts as a standalone tab within its social platform, providing users access to prediction markets alongside survivor, pick'em, daily fantasy sports (DFS) and commissioner-led contests.

Splash Sports Co-Founder and Co-CEO TJ Ross also spoke on the new collaboration, having said, “Polymarket helped bring prediction markets to the mainstream with their mobile-first product during the 2024 election, becoming the prediction market of record globally.

"We're doing the same for the survivor format. For decades, the biggest contest in this category required a flight to Las Vegas, a hotel and a paid proxy. Now anyone with a phone in 35+ states (plus Canada) can play in the largest survivor contest in history."

Splash Sports was originally founded in 2021 and launched following the acquisition and integration of RunYourPool and OfficeFootballPool.

Co-Founder and Co-CEO Joel Milton believes Splash Sports can now “put the most interesting markets” in front of their audiences, whether it be a “user… hedging their survivor pick in Week 18, increasing their position on picks they like or exploring markets while they watch real-time leaderboard updates.”

In legal news for Polymarket, Michigan District Court Judge Paul Maloney denied the operator's motion for a temporary injunction against Attorney General Dana Nessel on June 17, ruling its prediction market products fail to fall under the statutory definition of “swaps.”

Maloney also denied Polymarket’s motion for a temporary restraining order against Attorney General Nessel in March, ruling the Commodity Exchange Act does not preempt state gambling laws in Michigan.
